The role of the mortgage broker is to help you find the mortgage that is exactly right for you from the thousands of products out there. Something that is affordable and sustainable long term.
It is true that you can go direct to some lenders yourself, and also you can do your own research on moneysupermarket.com, and any number of other similar websites out there.
With the advent of comparison engines and the internet, as with most things, there is a huge amount of information out there for you to look at.
What that doesn’t do is give you advice. A comparison engine won’t talk you through the process, answer your phone calls and E mails and answer any questions you’ve got.
Above all, a comparison engine won’t be able to recommend a mortgage that is the right fit for your individual unique circumstances.
Also I know for a fact that our tea is better than anything you’ll get from a comparison engine too…!
We also offer a consultancy service for direct cases – if the product that is right for you is only available directly from the lender, we can offer help with assessing the products on offer, and also where possible assist with the administration of the application too.
This option allows you to still get the best possible deal to suit your circumstances, whilst still having all the benefits of a brokers help and expertise during the mortgage process. That way you can stop worrying about the application and get on with choosing the curtains!
